Paul Insect

Back To Artists

Paul acquired his name after indulging his taste for strong acid, and announcing to all he was Spiderman. When friends tried talking him down, informing him that spiders were indeed arachnids, Pauls mind spiralled out of reach, inhabiting the unexplored visceral landscape of his temporal lobes, and began spraying out a succession of startlingly original canvasses, which became the content of the sold out ‘Bullion exhibition’.

In his recent Poison exhibition at Kings Cross, his work has grown in maturity and price, and now exudes an unswerving and unnerving questioning on the nature of man and beast, sex and death, that one would expect to find in the pages of a Herman Hesse novel and not on the walls of an ex knocking shop.
